This position requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business plus 10+ years of work experience in Government finance and accounting or internal and / or external audit. Must have a deep understating of FAR cost principles, CAS, and financial system adequacy criteria. Contract administration is another key component of the position. The company is based in Wisconsin however, the projects will be located across the US and while the position is primarily based in WI, travel will be required for this position. Moreover, because of the growth in the power generation market this will be a very busy position and will require a number of professional traits outside of the job description including; the ability to handle multiple projects, a solid work ethic, solid communication skills, and ability to get things done without have to be managed throughout the day. Being a team player will also be important and wouldn't hurt to be able to work and smile at the same time. Now for the official job description:Prepare hard bid, conceptual, indicative estimates of labor and material costs, prepare bill of materials, prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors, select subcontractors, utilize quality takeoff procedures, advise on tendering procedures and analyze tenders and recommend award. Review and incorporate historical data into unit and man-hour figures.Required SkillsRead and interpret blueprints including welding take-offs of plater and boiler piping takeoffs from drawings and specifications. Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings to accurately determine the scope of work and required content for an estimate. A strong understanding of electric digitizer use, spreadsheets, databases, and on screen take-off techniques is required. A working knowledge of Timberline estimating would be beneficial. A strong understanding of the mechanical industry as it relates to Power Plant construction is required.
